The Scroll Marked One

Today I begin a new life.

Today I shed my old skin,
which has too long suffered the bruises of failure and the wounds of mediocrity.

Today I am born anew and my birthplace is a vineyard where there is fruit for all.

Today I will pluck grapes of wisdom from the tallest and fullest vines in the vineyard,
for these were planted by the wisest of my profession who have come before me
generation upon generation.

Today I will savor the taste of grapes from these vines,
and verily I will swallow the seed of success buried in each,
and new life will sprout within me.

The career I have chosen is laden with opportunity,
yet it is fraught with heartbreak and despair,
and the bodies of those who have failed were they piled one atop another,
and would cast a shadow down upon all the pyramids of the earth.

Yet I will not fail, as the others,
for in my hands I now hold the charts,
which will guide through perilous waters to shores which only yesterday seemed but a dream.

Failure no longer will be my payment for struggle.
Just as nature made no provision for my body to tolerate pain,
neither has it made any provision for my life to suffer failure.

Failure, like pain, is alien to my life.
In the past I accepted it as I accepted pain.
Now I reject it and I am prepared for wisdom and principles
Which will guide me out of the shadows into the sunlight of wealth, position, and happiness
Far beyond my most extravagant dreams,
Until even the golden apples in the Garden of Hesperides will seem no more than my just reward.

Time teaches all things to him who lives forever,
But I have not the luxury of eternity.
Yet within my allotted time I must practice the art of patience for nature acts never in haste.

To create the olive, king of all trees, a hundred years is required.
An onion plant is old in nine weeks.
I have lived as an onion plant.
It has not pleased me.
Now I wouldst become the greatest of olive trees and, in truth, the greatest of salesman.

And how will this be accomplished?
For I have neither the knowledge nor the experience to achieve the greatness
And already I have stumbled in ignorance and fallen into pools of self pity.

The answer is simple.
I will commence my journey unencumbered
With either the weight of unnecessary knowledge
Or the handicap of meaningless experience.

Nature already has supplied me with knowledge and instinct far greater than any beast in the forest
And the value of experience is overrated, usually by old men who nod wisely and speak stupidly.

In truth, experience teaches thoroughly yet her course of instruction devours men's years
So the value of her lessons diminishes with the time necessary to acquire her special wisdom.

The end finds it wasted on dead men.

Furthermore, experience is comparable to fashion;
An action that proved successful today will be unworkable and impractical tomorrow.

Only principles endure and these I now possess,
For the laws that will lead me to greatness are contained in the words of these scrolls.

What they will teach me is more to prevent failure than to gain success,
for what is success other than a state of mind?

Which two, among a thousand wise men, will define success in the same words.

Yet failure is always described but one way -
Failure is man's inability to reach his goals in life, whatever they may be.

In truth, the only difference between those who have failed and those who have succeed
lies in the difference of their habits.

Good habits are the key to all success.

Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure.

Thus, the first law I will obey, which precede all the others
Is I will form good habits and become their slave.

As a child I was slave to my impulses;
Now I am slave to my habits, as are all grown men.
I have surrendered my free will to the years of accumulated habits;
And the past deeds of my life have already marked out a path which threatens to imprison my future.

My actions are ruled by appetite, passion, prejudice, greed, love, fear, environment, habit;
And the worst of these tyrants is habit.

Therefore, if I must be a slave to habit let me be a slave to good habits.

My bad habits must be destroyed and new furrows prepared for good seed.

I will form good habits and become their slave.

And how will I accomplish this difficult feat?

Through these scrolls, it will be done.

For each scroll contains a principle which will drive a bad habit from my life
And replace it with one which will bring me closer to success.
For it is another of nature's laws that only a habit can subdue another habit.

So, in order for these written words to perform their chosen task,
I must discipline myself with the first of my new habits which is as follows:

I will read each scroll for thirty days in this prescribed manner, before I proceed to the next scroll.

First, I will read the words in silence when I arise.

Then, I will read the words in silence after I have partaken of my midday meal.

Last, I will read the words again just before I retire at day's end;

And most important, on this occasion I will read the words aloud.

On the next day I will repeat this procedure, and I will continue in like manner for thirty days.

Then, I will turn to the next scroll and repeat this procedure for another thirty days.

I will continue in this manner until I have lived with each scroll for thirty days,
and my reading has become habit.

And what will be accomplished with this habit?

Herein lies the hidden secret of all man's accomplishments:
As I repeat the words daily they will soon become a part of my active mind,

But more important, they will also seep into my other mind -
that mysterious source which never sleeps,
which creates my dreams,
and often makes me act in ways I do not comprehend.

As the words of these scrolls are consumed by my mysterious mind,
I will begin to awake each morning, with a vitality I have never known before.

My vigor will increase,

My enthusiasm will rise,

My desire to meet the world will overcome every fear I once knew at sunrise,

And I will be happier than I ever believed it possible to be in this world of strife and sorrow.

Eventually I will find myself reacting to all situations which confront me
As I was commanded in the scrolls to react,

And soon these actions and reactions will become easy to perform,
For any act with practice becomes easy.

Thus a new and good habit is born,
For when an act becomes easy through constant repetition,
It becomes a pleasure to perform.
And if it is a pleasure to perform,
It is man's nature to perform it often.

When I perform it often, it becomes a habit.
And I become its slave.
And since it is a good habit,
This is my will.

And I make a solemn oath to myself that nothing will retard my new life's growth.
I will lose not a day from these readings
For that day cannot be retrieved
Nor can I substitute another for it.

I must not,
I will not,
Break this habit of daily reading from these scrolls.
And, in truth, the few moments spent each day on this new habit
Are but a small price to pay for the happiness and success that will be mine.

As I read and re-read the words in the scrolls to follow,
Never will I allow the brevity of each scroll
Nor the simplicity of its words to cause me to treat the scroll's message lightly.

Thousands of grapes are pressed to fill one jar with wine,

And the grape skin and pulp are tossed to the birds.

So it is with these grapes of wisdom from the ages.

Much has been filtered and tossed to the wind.

Only the pure truth lies distilled in the words to come.

I will drink as instructed and spill not a drop.

And the seed of success I will swallow.

Today my old skin has become as dust.

I will walk tall among men and they will know me not,

For today I am a new man,

With a new life.

Stuck with same problem over and over again

Have you ever heard about the saying “The world is turning and you must turn with it.”¹ Well if you haven’t, then you should always consider this saying every time you are stuck with the same problem over and over again. But first things first, you must understand that problems and trials are very important part of your life, you won’t be who you are today without them, you will never be stronger and better tomorrow without them. You will always be in the same position as you were yesterday. So be glad you have them, be grateful you got a lot of them, it only goes to show that God loves you so much that he wants to make you a better person and that he believes in your capabilities. Although you can’t remove the fact that these trials and problems are hard, time consuming and painful, you can always take them with ease. How? It is simply done so by looking on the brighter rather than the darker side, by looking on the good rather than the bad after effects, by simply focusing on your dreams rather than the trial itself. Think of long turn rather that short effects because the only truth you will find is that problems creates opportunity, while opportunity creates success.

We all encounter different problems and trials as we go on with our life, everyone does! I mean who doesn’t? But a big problem lies when we encounter almost the same problem over and over again but what’s even worse is that we offer the same solution to the very same problem, it’s insane

So why are we stuck on the same problem? The answer would be simple; it’s that we haven’t really found the solution to the real problem. All we have figured out is not but a mere anaesthesia to the hurts that we feel and on worst case scenario we only cure the symptoms and results of the problems and not the problem itself. A very good analogy of this is that when we have a cold. Our body temperature becomes high and we feel dizzy, and then what will be your immediate remedy? You will take in a medicine so that you can feel relief and your temperature down not knowing that the very reason why you body temperature was high is because that you body system is fighting the virus infecting your body which burns a lot of your energy and that you were dizzy because they don’t function the way they were used to. Hence we fight not the virus that caused the fever but the symptoms and effects or in our case the cure to the virus itself. Yes it’s true that it’s good to take in medicine when we feel sick, they relieve the pain but ask your doctor first! They should know better than you do especially in those fields.

By this time you must be asking yourself; with what all this blogger is saying, so how can I solve my problems and not get stuck with the same problems over and over again! (Well, that’s why you are still reading this crazy article) how you say? If you have read between the lines you must have figured it out. But in case you still haven’t. The answer is simple (but very complicated), first find the core problem and then solve it. That’s just it!

Yes, it is the simple answer, but you will find it very hard. You see finding the core problem is like finding the needle in the grass field. Not because it is small, but because it blends in just right to its surroundings. It will be very hard to tell if that is the core or not because every problem will seem to be your core problem. But don’t worry, because when you have a magnet. You can easily find the needle! Well in your case your magnet is yourself. You must first seek yourself, understand yourself, and be with yourself. Never ever blame others for the problem because when you do, you also gave away the power to solve your problem, you gave away your power to grow further, you give away your magnet to search for your needle. When you seek deeply of yourself, you will find why do you have certain problems, why can’t you solve them, and how it turned out that way.

And If you think finding it is already hard, what's even harder will be how you will solve it. you see, you will use a lot of your time just to solve it, and what's worst is that if you have found out the the core of your problems is already your habit, it will be very hard to change it. But don't worry there is a way. all you have to do is to remember that only habit can subdue another habit. then form your new habits according to your choice (which should be a cure and will not make things worst). stick with it, discipline yourself that you would do that good new habit,trust it to God and then of you go. Sooner or later that day will come that you found yourself anew. and those problems that keeps repeating gone.

PS. research shows that habit is form when an act is repeated everyday for at least 3 months

Learn, Expand and Generate Wealth

It is said that a good and successful entrepreneur can make his business stand alone by itself - a business with a built-in auto pilot system that enables him to sleep well at night, have time for his family, learn new stuff or even travel around the world but still gives him income every day. A good source of income is not when you earn much by putting a lot of time and effort on it but when you earn a lot while you have more time and energy to do other things, especially those which can improve your earnings. It is suggested that once you have built the auto pilot system for your business, the extra time that will be given to you should be used to expand your business, either branch out or diversify your products or invest in marketing your product. When done right, it will increase your earnings and your sources of income by folds. But there is a big a problem about the auto pilot business system. Building an auto pilot system requires you to leave your business to other people, and when it comes to letting other people, especially if those who are unrelated to you, handle the business, more problems will arise. And will result to losses instead of income.

According to a business study, the top 3 sources of business losses are composed of misused of supplies, employee theft, and customer pilferage. Most business managers and owners find it easy to avoid misused of supplies and customer pilferage but when it comes to employee’s theft there are quite few solutions. In fact it is considered as one of the greatest problems in corporate history that until now, remains unsolved. Therefore a lot of companies, to lessen this burden, tightens their security but then sets aside an account of loss from employees. This helps them not to put too much time on thinking and solving the problem, and on the other hand, gives them more time to think on how to increase their profits.

If we learn to accept some losses, then it will give us time to learn more on how to expand our income. Think of the losses as risks you have to accept to earn more profit. “The greater the risk, the higher the return.” If we take investors as an example, we will see that investors don’t put all their money into only a single investment. Instead they diversify their money to different investments so that if they lose on an investment, it will simply be offset by a gain from another investment. This is known as Diversification of Risk in finance. The only question left is that what if you lose on all your investments? On the other hand what will happen if we look on the bright side, what then if you gain on all them? This is all of a matter on how we take risk, but I am not saying that we must always be risky; we should learn to diversify it. Only take risks for those you think you can gain. As for our example of losing in all of our investments, then I think we got a problem of not researching well before investing our money

To sum it all up, building an auto pilot system on your business will require you to let other people handle your business. This might result to losses on your part due to theft or mismanagement of your employees, which will also reflect the negligence on your part. Like investors, you much research and decide well on who you will choose to depend on to manage your business. But never forget that the one who must govern and guide them all is you. And that negligence on their part is also negligence on your part as well. Also we must accept the fact that our employees can commit mistakes, because of human nature, which will result into inevitable losses. It is good to set aside a fund for them, so that it won’t get on our nerves worrying on such problems. Furthermore, the auto pilot system on your business will let you have more time to plan for expansion of your income, and what’s best is that it will give you more time for you together with your families, friends and above all, a time with God.

Sa ating buhay, lahat tayo ay nakakaranas ng pagkabigo, at walang tao na hindi pa nkakaranas nito. kahit na ang mga kilalang tao ngayon, mapa Legend pa sila, Hero, Inventor, successful businessman, C.P.A.s, lawyers, pari, propeta, kahit presidente pa sila o kahit na sino pa man, kahet si Hesus ay nkaranas din ng pagkabigo ng sya ay naging tao. hindi mawawala saatin ito.

Subalit dapat din nating malaman na naging successful din sila sa huli, dapat nateng malaman na merong mga tao na dahil sa kanilang pagsisikap at kagustuhang ipagpatuloy ang laban, ay agad na babangon at haharapin ulet ang pagsubok. Ayon sa source ko na medyo hindi reliable(pero papaniwalaan ko muna ito ngaun) meron daw na nag sabi na merong kapangyarihan na ibingay ang diyos kay Adam at Eva, alam mo kung anu un?

Ang sabi... Dati daw meron absolute mental powers sila ADAM at EVE nung nasa garden of eden pa sila, kahit ano ang gustuhin nila, in a blink of an eye. an dun na! parang magic!!! kung anu man ang isipin nila ngyayari (ang sarap ng buhay nila ano? ^__^ imagine isipin nila na gusto nila ng pagkain and poof it became koko crunch! XD joke)

Until napalayas sila sa Garden of Eden, aun tinangal din sakanila ang powers na un. sabi pa nga sa kanila diba, dapat paghirapan nyo ang inyong kakainin sa araw-araw, ala bang sense?

hindi naman lubusang nawala ang mental powers ng tao, alam mo kung baket?

As of now, our mental powers still exist, pero meron ka nga lng gawin. kailngan mo itong pag hirapan, mangyayari parin ito, aun nga lng there is a work to be done. just like ung sinabi kay adam.

The Preparation part 1

after almost 2 months of losing myself, here I am right again to bring you yet another set of quotes or maybe somewhat forms of inspirational words or quotes.

(note: Starting from this point I will start using Filipino as my language since I assume that the readers of these blog would mostly be filipinos. an english version might soon follow depending on the results.)

The Preparation(Ang Paghahanda):

nanalapit nanaman ang exams sa buhay natin kaya dapat lng siguro na magkaroon tayo ng tips sa paghahanda saating sarili sa examinations hindi ba?

bago ang lahat gusto kong malaman mo na may dalawang uri ng learner at gusto ko ring alamin mo kung alin ka sa dalawa(baka makatulong ito ng husto)

ayon kay(Ramos, 2007) mayroon daw dalawang uri ng learner isang left brain learner at isang right brain learner

Para malaman mo kung alin ka sa dalawa ay kailangan mong malaman kung paano ka sumagot sa isang tanong sa direction (pero pano kaya kung isang katulad ko na walang sense of direction ang sumagot. pano na?)

kadalasan ang mga left brain learners ay sasagot ng pa explaination form or more on talking part

pero ang mga right brain learners daw ay makakasagot sa pamamagitan ng illustrasyon o mga pagdradrawing ng mapa.

kapag daw ikaw ay isang left brain learner mas madali ka daw matututo kung gagamit ng isang outline form na nagbibigay ng mga katangian ng mga lessons o tumatalakay sa mga ito

kapag naman ikaw ung right brain learner mas madali kang matututo kapag gumagamit ka ng concept map, ung nga lang ang kadalasan lng nakakaintindi ng konsept map ay ung mga gumawa nito.

So kung alam na natin kung aling bahagi ng utak ang pinagagana natin sa pag aaral ay mas malaking tulong na to diba?

Pero ayon kay (Cabalinan,2006) Lahat ng bagay nag fafall under sa yin and yang law. kapag may good side ay may bad side at gaya ng nakikita nating simbolo sa yin at yang ay may guhit ito sa gitna na nag memantain ng balance nito. kaya malamng din na merong mga tao na nakakagamit ng parehong side ng utak nya kapag nagaaral pero ayon din daw sa law nayon ay bihirang bihaira lng ito mangyari. pero ang madalas ay ung magkaroon ka ng atribute ng parehong bagay pero mas dominant ka sa isa. at un ung ibig sabihin ng tuldok sa yin and yang.

Yan ang part sa bibible na ginagamit ng maraming pilosopo para sabihing huwag na nating isipin pa ang bukas dahil mangyayari talaga ang dapat mangyari. ang dapat daw natin isipin ay ang ngayon at huwag ang bukas.

Marahil ay tama sila na dapat ngang wag na natin isipin ang bukas dahil maiging sagabal lng ito sa pagiisip ng ating gagawin ngayon pero malamang ay may mali din ang pagkakaunawa nila diba?

Tingin ko dapat din natin isipin ang ating kinabukasan at ang mga susunod na pangyayari para mapaghandaan ito. Tunay na ang oras ay magkakadugtong.

maari nating gamitin ang ating nakaraan para magamit sa kasalakuyan para sa ikagaganda ng ating kinabukasan hindi ba?

Dapat isipin din nating kung ano ang mangyayari sa kinabukasan. isipin mo nalang kung iaaplay natin yan sa paglalaro ng chess? pano naman gagawin mo kung hangang ung tira mo lang para sa ngayon ang iisipin at hindi ang mga susunod pa?

Sa buhay natin parang ganun lang yon kailangan natin isipin ang susunod na hakbang na gagawin natin para maging mas maayos ang lahat. ang ating bukas ay nakasalalay sa ating ngayon. pero masama din naman kung nakasalalay nalang tayo sa bukas. dahil kapag nagkamali lang ng kahit isang galaw ay mababago nanaman ang bukas at kailangan mo nanaman magisip hindi ba?

kung kayang mabago ng mabago ang bukas magkakaroon ng infinte chain ng pagbabago sa kinabukasan at mababaliw ka nalang kakaisip. tingin ko ito ung part na iniiwasan nilang mangyari kaya may punto din sila dito.

I am not telling you that everyone looks Its that way,

But when we sum out everything...

When we will set our Goals

it is Better To Set it with God on our Side.

When We set goals, let us confront God,

So in the end Though we reach to

make others envy,

or even make them hate Others,

or even worst that they might hate you.

Even though you reach to a certain limit...

You know yourself that you made God happy...

That You have made a real good out of evil.

Lets Begin With A good Faith Story shall we?

All Village People decided to pray for the rain to come

And on the Day of the Prayer, All but Only one Boy came with

an Umbrella... See!... Thats Faith!

So From what point of View Shall we look upon this?

We can See in two sides Right?

Well when we look at the general point of view It look likes

a sad story for Faith right?

but on the other point of view we can see That

We can never explain our feeling about this boy,

I don't know what You Feel but I felt something about this Boys characters

and He surely portrait one who has great faith isn't it?

Well thats two side of the story I feel Bad since

We Found that only few has this kind of Faith,

Faith is something we must Have in order to live,

with out Faith our Hopes becomes useless isn't it?
